VAW Forum

The New Agenda presented a Violence Against Women forum in New York City on April 18, 2009 to discuss what we can collectively do to raise public awareness and work toward change. We were honored to host four distinguished experts on this most important issue.

  • Karen Cheeks-Lomax Executive Director, My Sisters Place Westchester
  • Rosemonde Pierre-Louis Manhattan Deputy Borough President
  • Leslie Crocker Snyder Retired Justice, New York Supreme Court
  • Irene Weiser Executive Director, StopFamilyViolence.org

Many members and supporters have our own websites where we might make room for a smaller-sized VAW Button image, which we could post with an active hyperlink directly to this page’s address.

You could offer a similar, all-purpose image for members/supporters to link to The New Agenda site as a whole.

Possible choices could be a compact sticker/badge e.g. 180Wx160H pixels, and a medium-sized banner or rectangle in the 200 to 300 pixel range.

(re. to your parenthetical note on file size versus quality:)
Depending on text and picture detail, the JPG format might be unable to give you the best file Size/Quality ratio. Consider providing your buttons & banners in PNG format. PNG is an open Web standard, preserves all original colour and detail, yet still has good compression to minimize the byte size.
