TNA Board Member, Jennifer Kruschwitz, Named “Technology Woman of the Year”

Jennifer Kruschwitz, President and Principal Engineer for JK Consulting, Adjunct Assistant Professor in Optics for the University of Rochester and the University of Arizona, and Board Member to The New Agenda was awarded Digital Rochester’s 2012 Technology Woman of the Year on Thursday, April 26, 2012.  Close to 200 people attended the annual awards ceremony held Thursday morning at Locust Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY.

Kruschwitz was selected from 11 nominees recognized for significant career accomplishments in a high technology field, for actively encouraging women to enter the physical sciences, and for being a role model for women in the community.

In the Democrat and Chronicle article Amy Carey, Director of  Women in Technology Programs for Digital Rochester, said,

Kruschwitz “truly embodies all of the qualities and characteristics we look for.”

The recipient is selected based on sustained contributions to the field; contributions that advance the status, opportunities and employment for women in technology; and community service.
