Radio host Severin fired for sexist comments: TNA let’s Time Warner/HBO know we expect same for Bill Maher!
Greater Media Inc. has fired talk radio show host Jay Severin of WTKK-FM (96.9) for sexist comments made on March 29th:
On March 29, while discussing the case of American Apparel CEO Dov Charney, who is being sued for sexual harassment by two former female employees, Severin called the women “whores and liars” and said they belong in jail. He went on to say that he had slept with interns.

Congratulations to Rep Wasserman Schultz!
The New Agenda commends President Obama for his selection of Rep Debbie Wasserman Schultz as DNC Chair.
Rep Wasserman Schultz is a true advocate for women and women’s issues. She is also an outspoken supporter of increasing women’s representation in politics and has taken an active role in supporting other women candidates of her party.
Having Rep Wasserman Schultz as DNC Chair is a huge victory for women.

Yale Under Fire: Title IX Complaint Filed for Tolerating Sexual Abuse
Although academic leaders will always publicly insist that their institutions are committed to creating a ‘welcoming environment for all students’, their actions show that they are far more focused on protecting their reputations. Yesterday, Vice President Biden and Secretary Duncan announced a Sexual Assault Awareness Campaign. The impetus? The Department of Education acknowledges a grave threat to this generation: 20 percent of college women will be victims of rape or sexual assault!
We live in a civilized country, after all. Who is assaulting these young women? The answer, of course, is our college men! Ponder this: roughly 20% of our college men will rape or sexually assault a college woman before they graduate.
