Greater Media Inc. has fired talk radio show host Jay Severin of WTKK-FM (96.9) for sexist comments made on March 29th:

On March 29, while discussing the case of American Apparel CEO Dov Charney, who is being sued for sexual harassment by two former female employees, Severin called the women “whores and liars” and said they belong in jail. He went on to say that he had slept with interns.

“Those girls that got to sleep with me got to know their boss better, they got to go on trips, they got to travel in some cases to various parts of the world, to see things and meet people that they never would have seen or done,” he said.

The New Agenda has informed the board of Time Warner, owner of HBO, of the firing. We have also made clear that our expectation is that action will be taken against Bill Maher for his vulgar comments.

We’ll keep you posted!

I hope you are successful at getting Maher off the air, he has been spewing hate filled sexism long enough. Time Warner seems to be run by a bunch of morons however, they just put out an offensive trailer for Hangover 2 that had to be recalled
    http://movies.yahoo.com/news/m.....ne-reuters

And they also just bombed with Sucker Punch a movie about a girl who accidentally kills her sister gets dumped in an asylum and threatened with lobotomy, has constant rape threats, and enters a “fantasy world” that is a brothel/strip club with several other girls who go through the whole movie in lingerie with all kinds of threat and violence done to them. Of course they marketed this movie to women and girls as an “empowerment” movie instead of an old mans wet dream (I’m not making this up, I have had the trailer for it jammed up my ass twice while innocently sitting in the theater with my kids). So clearly the men in charge of Time Warner don’t have a clue. I would guess their stock is toast after the end of the Harry Potter series this summer. Any company willing to kiss off women and girls, 52% of the population, can’t be very profitable.
