When the promotion came up, I didn’t know how to ask. So, a man got it.

Want to improve the lives of women and girls? One surefire way: get more women into leadership!
But how? We have a solution: mentoring. It’s what young working women and college women have been asking us for. Repeatedly. And so, we plan to give it to them!
Time to do things differently? Yes! We have a vision for the future of mentoring:
Come hear how the tools of social media will forever change the way we mentor. And how The New Agenda plans to harness technology to create connectivity.
We throw a great party!
Forget the ‘sit-down rubber chicken‘ benefit. We throw a great party! Check out pictures and videos from last year’s event. Fun had by ALL!
PLEASE SUPPORT THIS EVENT!
We do this because we care about improving the lives of women and girls (and we get results). The women who run TNA are 100% volunteer. Our May event is the one time we really need your financial support to continue the important work we do. To join the Benefit Commitee, email us at editor@thenewagenda.net. To attend or donate, look for the Evite coming soon!
Follow event announcements on twitter at: @Mentor_Up
PLEASE SHARE (email this, tweet this, post on Facebook)!

PLEASE HELP! If you like what The New Agenda does, this is the ONE time each year we raise funds. The women running our org are 100% VOLUNTEER – but there are admin costs of running 2 orgs and our considerable online presence. So PLEASE – 1) attend the event; 2) join the Benefit Committee; 3) be a corporate sponsor; 4) donate what you can. WE NEED FUNDING FOR ALL WE DO! Please SHARE this (via FB, twitter, email). Email me at siskind@thenewagenda.net if you have any questions.
I like the Mentoring theme. You could mentor at work but also I have been thinking that I know a lot of women who live alone in very large family houses, their kids and husband have moved on and their houses are paid for and they don’t really want to move. It would be cool to organize a free rent or very cheap rent system in these houses for women students who don’t have family support to attend college. Obviously you don’t want to open your home to a criminal so it would have to be like a scholarship situation. But think of the benefit that would be to young women trying to get medical, legal, engineering degrees where they need to study so much they can’t really work much and taking student loans will burden them with debt for years. I just bet a lot of older women with empty houses would sign up to host an American woman student.
Great initiative!! I can’t wait for this event!! I hope we can contribute to unleash the energy, experience, and wisdom of many women for the benefit of young women and girls, and ultimately, for everybody’s benefit.
