Senator Patty Murray is considering taking on the role as head of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committtee (“DSCC”) for the 2011-2012.

In this role, Murray could have say in funding and selection of 2012 candidates for the U.S. Senate.  POLITICO reports:

Washington Sen. Patty Murray has emerged as a leading candidate to take the pivotal job of running the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in the 2011-12 cycle and will decide as early as next week, according to several Democratic insiders familiar with the talks.

Nothing has been finalized yet, these Democratic sources cautioned. But Murray is seriously considering the offer, having spent recent days talking with colleagues and her family about whether she should become chairwoman of a committee that faces the challenge of defending the seats of 21 Democrats and two independents in a presidential election year.

We urge our viewers to contact Senator Murray’s office and urge her to take the position. Let her know we need to move beyond 17% representation and she can help women in this role!

Murray isn’t a flashy candidate but she is honest, hard working, and she isn’t a corporate sellout. She is a real person who wants to make government work for the people. It would be grate if she took the job however since it is the Dems offering it they may just be looking for a woman to blame their profound failures on. Also the Dems are so far in the hole at this point that probably a woman is the only one who would have the guts to claw them back to neutral. If Murray takes it you can be sure she will do the best job possible in a non ostentatious way.

Murray has been DSCC chair before I think. Not sure how she did last time around but hooray anyway.
I’ve also heard that Ann Wagner and Mario Cino may be contesting the RNC chair. Wagner I like but I know nothing about Cino. Anyone know anything about her?

Obama lacks political will to crack down on Wall street crooks. Be sure to read the comments.

Yes, but making women appear incapable of helping themselves is only half of it. It’s also talking about DECADES of Obama helping… o.O

I am appalled at that ad. Does Obama seriously think he can appeal to women by showing us we are not capable of helping ourselves??
