Congratulations to Women Who Ran…and Hope…

by The New Agenda
|The New Agenda congratulates the women who had the courage to run in 2010. Whether you won or lost last night, you have blazed the path for us all.
Here’s a heartening interview of the two women who have run for Vice President, Geraldine Ferraro (D) and Sarah Palin (R). We hope that our viewers and our country can take a page from this interview: respect women even if we disagree with them on policy. And continue to fight together to end sexism together!

The New Agenda also recognizes historic firsts. Three states have their FIRST women governors tonight: SC (Haley), NM (Martinez) and OK (Fallon). Nikki Haley is also the first Indian-American woman and Martinez first Latina to win as governors. (Note: in Florida, where the race is still to close to call, if Alex Sink wins she will be the fourth historical first).
We are also heartened that so many other voices have joined us to speak out against sexism, including 2 pieces yesterday:
@The Christian Science Monitor – Ending the ‘hot or not’ factor for Nikki Haley and female candidates.
@The Daily Beast – Stop Calling Them Sluts
Please join The New Agenda as we continue to lead the battle to get women into leadership and to end sexism!!!

Excellent articles by rare media sources who still have credibility. Corporate Media has to be by far the most sexist institution in existence today and they are arrogant in their sexist pride. There is no way Corporate Media’s bigotry could exist in a free market.
Great clip of Ferraro and Palin together. Palin was so gracious and spoke very well. It was very nice to see them together.
