There are approximately 252 female candidates running this year in various races, according to Rutgers University’s Center for American Women and Politics. Until Election Day, we will occasionally be posting links to volunteer opportunities and/or online phone banks of various female candidates so that our readers can take advantage of the information by stepping up and helping out. If you have the time, take a look and find something you can do to get more women elected.

As a reminder, The New Agenda does not endorse candidates, and these efforts should not be construed as endorsements.

Listed in alphabetical order:

Kelly Ayotte- NH Sen.: Volunteer opportunities, including phone banking.

Krystal Ball- VA- House: Volunteer opportunities.

Jan Brewer- AZ-Gov.: Volunteer opportunities.

Kristin Gillibrand- NY-Sen.: Volunteer opportunities.

Nikki Haley: SC-Gov.: Volunteer opportunities.

Blanche Lincoln- AR-Sen.: Volunteer opportunities, including phone banking.

Linda McMahon- CT-Sen.: Volunteer opportunities.

Lisa Murkowsi- AL-Sen.: Volunteer opportunities, including phone banking.

Patty Murray- WA-Sen.: Volunteer opportunities, including phone banking.

Meg Whitman- CA-Gov.: Volunteer opportunities, including phone banking.

Good luck! If you want to share, tell us about your volunteer/phone bank experience in comments!

Alex Sink and Christine O’Donnell have phonebank options for volunteers. Newest polls for Alex Sink look good 43 over 38 %.

I am ready to shout from tthe rooftop! There was an ad for the male gubenatorial candidate in SC thanking and SUPPORTING him in the race and with him to celebrate the 90th anniv. of the ratification of the 19th amendment. They are supporting THE MAN because he’s promised to appoint women to state boards and commissions.
When will women learn that we need to support us first?????? He’s playing the Obama game of more women–still no parity in govt. I want to personally knock all these women’s heads together to make them come to their senses. Not to mention–this is a historic race. It would make Nikki Haley the 1st female gov. of this state and further women as a result. @#$%^&*!!!!!!!Aggghhhh!!!!

Um, why would anyone who stands for women’s rights vote for Linda McMahon, president of one of the most misogynistic entertainment industries in America?
