Oh, the irony.  Brown is the clown who came to town and turned respect for women upside down.

Has The New Agenda contacted CA NOW to explain their stance? It would be very interesting to hear what they have to say.

    AB,

I got three words for you…MAKE IT VIRAL. :->

NOW should change their name to NOD, changing the W to D for Democrat. Brown is just so wrong a choice in soooooooooo many ways for women. I truly wonder what NOW CA was smokin’ in order to think that he was their best choice.

I thought they should change it to NOH – National Organization of Handmaidens. At this point, they are functioning in a way that is actually inimical to women’s equality.

NOD. NOH. Call ‘em whatever you like. This latest little stunt proves that they do not even care about being “pro-choice.” Only about repaying their masters.

This is freaking fun! I just filled out my sample ballot! Here’s the names of the people I’m voting for:

    Meg
    Pamela
    Debra
    Karen
    Mimi
    Kamala
    Dina
    Nancy
    Carly
    Tani
    Victoria
    Laurie
    Tricia
    Elizabeth
    Amy

It took all of three seconds! I love this!

If any of the male candidates running in my state have ever been called whores, sluts, dykes, fuckdolls, witches, neglectful parents, or nuts by the opposing candidates’ campaign, they can feel free to ask me to vote for them. If they haven’t gone through that, they can feel free to pound as much sand up their ass as will fit there. :-)

Yep Janis…Me too. I’m voting for women this year across the board regardless of their positions and whether I agree with them or not. They can do no worse than the men representing us now. I’m voting for women until we have gender parity in political positions (and ultimately in all positions of power) and that’s all there is to it. Once we get enough women in political positions we can start working with each other and start really changing the patriarchal system. Humans are on a self destructive path. Unless there is a major paradigm shift away from patriarchy and toward a more “feminine” inclusive, empathetic model, we are done for.

    “Real” Change that’s what I’m working toward….

Regarding Janis and her sample ballot. You reminded me of my Mom who passed on two years ago at age 88. She always marked her ballot the second she got it because she was so politically oriented she already knew how to vote including judges and peoples initiatives. Then she would photo copy it several hundred times and pass it out to anyone who wanted it. She had a regular group of people who would come by to get her sample ballot so I think she probably accounted for around a hundred votes on her own.

Whoops — I left one out.

    Judith.

A great name! Isn’t she the one that drank an opposing general under the table in his own tent, cut his head off, and carried it back to her own camp where everyone danced in her honor? I can get behind a chick named Judith. :-D
