Levi Johnston, The Liar: Are His 15 Minutes of Fame Finally Up?

Well, it wasn’t really 15 minutes of fame. It was more like 15 minutes of toolish media whoring, filled with prevarications for which the media itself was a more than willing pimp. On Tuesday, Levi Johnston finally admitted the shocking news that he was, in fact, lying. By shocking, I of course mean the total opposite of shocking. I’m fairly certain that Uterine Forensic Specialist ™ , Andrew Sullivan, will say that Sarah Palin’s magical uterus hoodwinked Levi into apologizing.
“Last year, after Bristol and I broke up, I was unhappy and a little angry. Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I publicly said things about the Palins that were not completely true,” he tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I have already privately apologized to Todd and Sarah. Since my statements were public, I owe it to the Palins to publicly apologize.”

“So to the Palin family in general and to Sarah Palin in particular, please accept my regrets and forgive my youthful indiscretion,” Johnston says in the statement. “I hope one day to restore your trust.”
No biggie. Just a “youthful indiscretion” — a whopping one year ago. I suppose we are to assume that liar years are like dog years. Let’s flashback to those days of yore from the time of his “youthful indiscretion.” Levi Johnston was given platforms at every major news organization, the worst of which was CBS where he said “I’m Hiding ‘Huge’ Things About Palin“. Evidently, the only things that he was hiding were his decency and his brains, neither one of which is “huge.” During the same appearance, he went on to say:
“I think the biggest hit we’ve had on, like, the Vanity Fair, you know, people really look on, is when she called her kid retarded,” he said. “I mean, I’ve got a lot of people talking about that.”
Oh, a hit! So glad that bashing and lying about your child’s family was such a hit! Moreover, the Palins refer to Trig as “their little angel.” If they ever used the word “retarded,” I’m pretty sure they were talking about you, Levi. This is evidently beyond your comprehension, but perhaps the Palins didn’t treat you with hugs and kisses and cookies because, you know, you impregnated their teenage daughter. People are funny like that.
At the time, Sarah Palin issued this statement:
CBS should be ashamed for continually providing a forum to propagate lies. Consider the source of the most recent attention-getting lies — those who would sell their body for money reflect a desperate need for attention and are likely to say and do anything for even more attention.”
Exactly. CBS should have been ashamed. But are they? Apparently not, as they have yet to acknowledge Levi Johnston’s admission that he is a big, fat liar. CBS would be ashamed — except for the pesky fact that they have no shame. It’s hard to have shame when you spend all your time on your knees as media lapdogs. The media was all too ready to promote anything at all to make that icky “beauty queen” Sarah Palin look bad, like a bunch of jealous high school kids gossiping and spreading false rumors about the popular girl.
While it’s unfortunate that Bristol doesn’t have the same excellent taste in men as her mother, she did inherit her class. Bristol issued the following statement:
Part of co-parenting is creating healthy and honest relationships between the parents. Tripp one day needs to know the truth and needs to know that even if a mistake is made the honorable thing to do is to own up to it.
That’s really who it’s all about – baby Tripp. For his sake, I hope that Levi has matured more than the jokers at CBS. I also hope he finally realizes that he has a child and starts acting like a father and not a self-interested attention whore, craving publicity from people whom he is too stupid to realize have been using him and laughing at him, not with him. Perhaps he should print out the following and use it as reference for how to not act in the future.
Levi really is a jerk who has done some pretty awful things. But in the back of my mind I know he was also just a troubled boy from a small town, who the media preyed on and exploited the crap out of. He’s not very sophisticated, he doesn’t understand the long term consequences of his actions, and his own family was too much of a mess to guide him. None of this excuses his behavior, I just think the real criminals are the media and Hollywood that treated him like a commodity and gleefully exploited him to try and attack the Palins. They don’t care about him as a person or about helping him to have a relationship with his child, and they will happily throw him away like a piece of trash once they’re finished using him.
Maybe he’ll mature, realize that it’s not his own self interests that are at play here, and go on to be a good father to his child. Who knows, he might even be able to show some leadership for other people. LOL, there is that saying, “if you can’t serve as a good example, at least serve as a horrible warning.” He has the power to show people that you can turn things around, no matter how stupid you’ve been.
Levi leaves me speechless and that is saying something. But I do agree with Yttik, Hollywood used him, helped him make an ass of himself and then tossed him like so much human trash. When did people with no human intelligence or values gain a monopoly over media? We need to rein them in by having consumer rights to only accept the content we want into our homes, as opposed to having their deranged sewage rammed down the cable connection we pay to rent. When you pay to rent a house your landlord doesn’t tell you who can come in through the door and he doesn’t invite his Neanderthal friends to come to your house, when you pay to rent a cable connection your cable landlord should not be telling you who comes into your house over that connection or inviting his favorite Neanderthals into your home.

Even the operas I listen to anymore are all Baroque — written a few hundred years before the Parade of Suicide Chicks got underway …
I don’t think that Levi is that knowledgeable or lacks any kind of judgment, I think he wanted to be famous and when his modeling career and acting career didn’t pan out and he shamefully used Sarah Palin to get the interviews and they made a fool of him and tried to make a mockery of Sarah Palin and her family. He is now trying to make up with the Palin’s and he wants to get back with Bristle probably because this loser knows that his only claim to fame would be to be related to Sarah. I hope the Palin’s get rid of him altogether except just be allowed by law his visitation rights of his child and make the ass pay child support. Bristle pleassssssseeeeeeee don’t take this sleaze bag jerk back.
My oppinion of Levi is far from the more important issue at hand; that the party I supported and liberalism , which I had embrassed has presented itself to me as a desease and the so called journalists at CBS, NBC, ABC and all the other Obamamedia outlets have become inablers of a most toxic form of elitist liberal hate-derangement. Haters of Sarah Palin possess a kind of ignorance which is common place today, among the far left (perhaps all of the left.)
At a time when Oilbama blames Bush for the BP disaster, even thought he, Barak Obama was the only one among , McCain and HR Clinton to have voted for the Bush Cheney energy bill, it might be in good order for the so called environment loving corporation hating left to take a real look at Palin’s former record as chairperson of the Alaska Oil and Natural Gas Conservation Commission and Governor of AL. Sarah Palin held big oil by the balls when she was in pwoer back in Alaska. She had Oil and Natural gas companies confirm their safety proceediors and put a whopping 50% tax (a smart tax) on extraction. But true advocates of the people often put themselves at risk of the kind of attacks that Palin and her family have endured. It’s just common sense that a Governor with a 65-85% approval rating had been putting her constituents first (one would think the academic elite among the left could figure that out). Governors cannot have a FED reserve bank print money, they have real responsibility. It seems that Governors like Palin and Arizona’s Jan Brewer, who take responsibility for the well being and prosperity of their residents are just not intellectual or cool enough for the tradgically hip left.
Levi Johnson is an ass and I sincerely belive that he could have a future in politics in the democrat party- the party I once loved. God it seems like a life time ago know.

I agree about the classist and sexist take of the left on Sarah Palin. On Gov.Brewer I disagree. She really was not for this kind of law, until elections came close and her opponent was closing in.
There are already laws against criminal acts, there is no impediment to catch the criminals, whether they are immigrant or not (Why don’t they?mmmhh). This law is only against Mexican immigrants, and the hate it generates distracts people from the real issues (there is great deal of money on drug trafficking and arms dealing, and too many people involved and benefiting on both sides of the border, and also, it distracts our attention from terrorism and the cells constituting themselves within the US.
I know democrats and BO are taking on this because it is politically expedient, but BO really never supported immigration reform. He misrepresented himself and his record with Latinos.
I really expected more from Gov. Brewer (I am center right on many economic issues).
Certainly, although I profoundly disagree with Gov. Brewer, I will defend her against sexism. She has the right to have her positions respectfully debated.

No, his 15 minutes have been renewed, and then some. He and Bristol have announced their engagement.
Oh, and Levi and Bristol indicated that the wedding will take place in 4-6 weeks. I predict it will be televised.
Wish that kid had her mom’s taste in men … Time will tell whether or not he is truly penitent, though — and he’s got a LOT of Sarah fans with an eagle-eye on his sad little ass making SURE he behaves himself now.
