Desperately Seeking Susan B. Anthony: The Search is On
Hello from the great state of New York, city of Rochester! We’re here in search of Susan B. Anthony, and hope to find her at her homestead later today. We’ll report on that and Seneca Falls on Friday. My apologies for being out of touch so long, but we’ve had some glitches accessing wifi outside of my iPhone. Here’s what we’ve been up to before today.

Sexist Author Jason Mattera: NO to Breastfeeding…
H/t to Alice P.
Certified sexist Jason Materra doesn’t think that working mothers have the right to breastfeed.
Oregon Live reports:
He recently gave himself some publicity by posting some highly edited video on YouTube of himself questioning Minnesota Senator Al Franken about some provisions in the health care bill and repeatedly interrupting while Franken tried to answer. Mattera apparently has serious problems with government investment into public health as well as mandates for employers to provide time for breastfeeding mothers to………………you guessed it, breast feed or to express milk to take home …

Female Aphrodisiacs, With No Unhealthy Side Effects
The opinions expressed herein are those of the author, and not necessarily those of The New Agenda.
Any good physician will tell you it’s almost always better to use non-drug alternatives before moving on to pharmaceuticals. Diet and exercise to lower cholesterol and high blood pressure; yoga for a sore lower back, those nose bands for snoring. You may need to get that prescription eventually, but many times these so-called ‘lifestyle changes’ do the trick. So, while the pharmaceutical companies work on coming up with a drug to treat low libido …

ACTION ALERT: Author Jason Mattera Disses Kagan, Napolitano, Sotomayor and Hillary
Jason Mattera thinks sexism is cool.
Mr. Mattera is the 26 year-old author of a new book, Obama Zombies. The byline is “How the Liberal Machine Brainwashed My Generation.”
The New Agenda’s Amy Siskind read his book and put up a post on her Facebook page yesterday about a chapter on the media bias. The Facebook post received a lot of attention: including a comment from Nora Bredes, President of The Eleanor Roosevelt Legacy Committee, letting us know that Mr. Mattera had recently made a sexist remark on Elana Kagan, Secretary Napolitano …

The opinions expressed herein are those of the author, and not necessarily those of The New Agenda.
I grew up in the ghetto and like a lot of other ghetto people I grew up listening to the voice of the Streets or rap music. Its my favorite type of music and it dominates my MP3 player. Yes I know I am 46 but I still grew up with rap I was a sophmore in high school when the first rap song hit number 1.

“Breasts” – a Weapon to Diminish Women in Politics
The opinions expressed herein are those of the author, and not necessarily those of The New Agenda.
Headlights, tah tahs, bosoms, boobies, a nice rack, guzungahs, knockers, titties, mammaries, the twins, etc. You know the terms, you have heard them before.
Talking about a woman’s breasts just as an aside doesn’t normally come up in civilized conversation. I don’t hear the topic of a woman’s knockers coming up in an engineering meeting or a discussion about university curriculum. If the topic does tend to be brought out in the open it is …

Desperately Seeking Susan B. Anthony Summer Tour
My passion is women’s history, as most regular readers know. Over years of pro-woman activism, I have found nothing that touches the heart and fuels the imaginations of young women quite like learning their own history does. Women of every generation might disagree about what the exact issues facing us are, and how we might address them, but nearly every one of them is surprised to learn the that stories exist that were denied them as they labored through lectures on the American Revolution or the Civil War, etc.
Knowing this …

Kudos to Elaine Marshall!
The opinions expressed herein are those of the author, and not necessarily those of The New Agenda.
North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine Marshall scored a decisive victory in the Democratic Senate primary runoff this week, despite receiving no support from the Democratic Party establishment. Although her rival, Cal Cunningham, was recruited by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and received financial support from Democratic leadership, it was Marshall who sailed comfortably to victory with more than 60% of the vote.
The first woman ever elected to executive office in North Carolina, Marshall …
