We have more exciting news. Lis Wiehl of FOX News has agreed to moderate The New Agenda Foundation’s Teen Dating Violence event on May 6, 2010. With this addition, our all-star panel is complete!
Here’s a couple of things that you might not know about Lis:
Lis wrote a book released in February 2007 titled The 51% Minority: How Women are Still Not Equal and What You Can Do About it:
Women make up 51% of the American population, yet still aren’t treated equally to men in areas that matter most. In this provocative new book, Lis Wiehl, one of the country’s top federal prosecutors, reveals the legal and social inequalities women must face in their daily lives–and provides a “Tool Box” for dealing with a variety of issues. From boardroom to courtroom, from pregnancy to contraception, from unequal pay to domestic violence, women are more often than not handed the short end of the stick.
And, Lis took on Mark Rudov, the sexist pig that said made comments during the Democratic Primary about how Hillary Clinton’s “nagging voice” would lose her the male voters. Lis, in her researched and prosecutorial style sticks up for Hillary and lets him know that his facts are just plain wrong:
So please join Lis as she moderates our distinguished panel including:
Jane Randel, Liz Claiborne Inc.
Casey Corcoran, Boston Public Health Commission
Janet DiFiore, Westchester District Attorney

What a great pick . Back when Oreilly was on radio Lis was his second and I found her to be very articulate and her reasoning very sound. I see this during the segments she shares with Guifolye on Oreilly As well. Her fiction book( not the fact book mentioned above) was a brilliantly written whodunit. Wish I was back east to attend
very interesting pick indeed. and what I remembered from 2008 is quite revealing. “the take out the garbage” quote and nagging voice we heard all over the internet and feminist outrage. The quote from Lis Wiehl about 12% single men over 2% married men difference for Obama sounds totally new. also name recognition. should we not know the name Lis Wiehl after this spectacular performance on a network.
what it tells me, is: we should promote and circulate the quotes and names of women.
so Lis Wiehl and the 12% single men versus 2% married men perfering Obama over Hillary will stick.
very soon a new website EVE = “equal visibility everywhere” for the 51% majority will tackle this problem.
we need to break and understand the mechanisms of silencing of female achievements.
