Meg Whitman Receives the Ultimate Republican Endorsement

Congratulations to Meg Whitman! As the San Francisco Chronicle reports:
Meg Whitman may not be fond of referring to herself as a Republican in her ubiquitous radio ads — and Steve Poizner was the GOP guv candidate snuggling with the right-wing at the CPAC confab last week along with US Senate candidate Chuck DeVore– but it was Meg who snagged some big time conservative love Monday when the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Group PAC endorsed her.
Straight from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association website:
High taxes and out-of-control spending have pushed California state government to the brink of bankruptcy, and we need strong leadership to put California back on track. Meg Whitman is the only reliable fiscal conservative in the race, and her commitment to cutting spending and eliminating waste, fraud and abuse is the way to restore prosperity to the Golden State. We’re standing with Meg to fight for Californians who believe taxes are too high, the government spends too much money and that our schools must be improved so children can achieve their goals.
Wow. This is about the best endorsement a Republican candidate can get, especially one running to manage a state with $20 billion deficit. Voters are looking to fiscal conservatives to straighten up their state.
With endorsements like this and a likely general election rival otherwise known as “Governor Moonbeam”, California could very likely get its first woman governor. That’s right. Left Coast Cali has NEVER had a woman governor. But things are looking good and this will be an exciting race to watch. I always get excited about firsts.
Go Meg!

I sure hope she wins. Maybe she will be our first woman President someday.
Brown has collected millions of dollars from unions and other such special interests. In discussing the Acorn issue last year, Brown indicated that he was unconcerned about acorn but was concerned about the”illegal” activities of the kids who led the expose. I remember Moonbeam when he governor last time, right after Reagan, which dates him( and me), his views were very bizarre then. He is a career politician like his Father and Sister . His father too was a governor. Brown after leaving the governors mansion became mayor of Oakland, and has held various state offices. He has never held a non government job. But having said all that Calif is a very liberal state and Meg will need all the help she can get.
