Thank You Mr. O’Reilly

|Thank you Mr. O’Reilly!
Finally someone addresses this! I’m shocked how few people have.
For me, Senator Scott Brown posing in Cosmo was just not a big deal EXCEPT for the fact that it would have been treated very differently had it been a woman. A woman politician would have been raked over the coals for even appearing in a swimsuit competition (hmmm like Sarah Palin…) but Senator Brown gets a pass. I’m not even taking a side on whether he SHOULD get a pass, I’m just saying let’s be FAIR. Bill I’ll even give you extra points for the segment on blonds. My hat (covering my blond hair) is off to you today, keep up the good work!.
I don’t always love you O’Reilly, the curmudgeon act wears me out sometimes and don’t get me started on the compulsive need to play devil’s advocate. But I’ll leave my quibbles for another day, and just say THANK YOU for addressing this double standard. Please feel free to do so again, as often as you wish, every day if you like.
Nudge Nudge…

good for him, in my experience that is a very rare example of a male getting the double standard. usually when one points out the double standard, I heard the dumbest answers from men.
LOL, I blame all the women surrounding Bill O’Reilly for his sudden epiphanies. Seriously, he has more women on his show then the majority of other news programs. He never fails to invite women experts on as guests and give them a chance to express their opinions on matters.
This is why I’m a big fan of the 30% solution. When women are part of the discussion, it changes people’s perspectives. Without the voices of half the human race, your views become too narrow.
yttik,
I was thinking the same thing. And not just on his show, Hannity’s panelists are always at least 50% women during each show.
On the other hand, CNN seems to generally have 1 woman and the rest men.
