Larry Summers Out…Elizabeth Warren In?

|Maybe we can work a trade: when Scott Brown moves from MA to DC, let’s send Larry Summers back to Cambridge!
You’ll recall Larry Summers – President Obama’s choice to head the White House Economic Council. Same Larry Summers who set women and girls back while President of Harvard by proclaiming that girls were innately inferior to boys in math and science. Great pick President Obama!
The chants for Summers to step down are getting louder by the day. Even before the MA special election there was a growing chorus of Is Larry Summers on his way out?.
Listen to Arianna Huffington explain why the voters in Massachusetts were not only telling the President that they don’t want his health care reform package. Voters also want a change in our country’s economic leadership, or as Arianna calls it: “personnel changes” (skip to 2:00):
Arianna’s suggestion – bring in Elizabeth Warren who can fight for the middle class. The New Agenda also likes FDIC Chairwoman Shelia Bair.
Let’s send Larry back packing to Cambridge! Bring in a qualified woman to run the economy and get us out of this mess!

Apparently, Arianna has sobered up from her hopium fix! She was Obama’s biggest fan during the primaries and participated in some of the sexist banter against both Clinton and Palin. I can’t believe that she did not know who was backing Obama. Beyond a little theater, there won’t be any reforming of the financial industry.
Obama will not stand up to his financial sponsors. They put him there for a reason.
I know some people at Harvard. They don’t want Larry Summers back. They will make you show your receipt and only give store credit. Wm.
