The New Agenda congratulates Martha Coakley for winning her bid to become the Democratic Candidate for Ted Kennedy’s open Senate Seat.
Coakley will run off against Republican Scott Brown in January.
Run Coakley, Run!!!
To see the results as they come in, go to the home page of The Boston Globe.
At 9:05 p.m., Coakley has 47% of the votes (Capuano 27%, Pugliuca 13%, Khazei 13%)

Whoot whoot! Time to celebrate!
This news has put a smile on a face that doesn’t usually wear them lately: mine.
I so desperately want to say something like “EAT SHIT AND DIE, BLUE DOG DEMS!” but I think I’ll just sit here and enjoy the glow.
I want Coakley to win it all, but to be honest, as long as one of those flaccid, spineless blue-dog subhumans isn’t the eventual winner, I’m happy. Martha winning would turn happy into ecstatic.
Go Martha Go!!!
My hometown went 49% to Martha. When I come home to visit I won’t have to cause too much trouble
.
Mine went 50% – got you by one Optixmom!
Great news!
