Skip forward to 2:00 and see Steve Santagati to discuss the recent Newsweek cover and explain his “view” on women like Palin using sex appeal to get what they want.

Where did FOX find this Neanderthal? Tell us what you think.

I don’t even need to watch it to imagine what Geraldo will say. Of course he has never tried to use his looks or “charm” to get ahead, or changed his name to make himself sound more exotic. He’s such a transparent phony.

I watched it, I think Steve’s approach to what he wanted to relay was bad, but the nature of the human being is that it likes to look at attractive things, paintings, cars, people. And if Palin enhances her portrait good for her. She’s a beautiful woman and she works it.

“Where did FOX find this Neanderthal?” Same place MSNBC found Olbermann and Matthews and the rest of their silly old misogynist twits.

I guess that topless beach picture of Obama means that he’s a slutty manwhore who used his body to get votes, too. From the way those idiots on The View were practically ovulating at the sight of him, I’d say he most certainly did.

Does that justify the global media sending an unending firehose of sexual degradation his way, too?

Men HATE what they want to fuck, is what this says to me. And other women hate what men want to fuck too, because it’s competition for them.

Maria, my question is, how the hell can she NOT work it? What is she supposed to do in order to not “work it?” Slash her face up with a razor blade and gain three hundred pounds? She LOOKS LIKE THAT. WTF is she supposed to do that would be a sufficient antidote to “working it?” What the hell else is she supposed to do in order to justify getting to where she is by dint of hard fucking work — wait until she’s ninety and can’t be considered beautiful in any remote way at all?

What can possibly be a sufficient apology to women everywhere for her looking like what she looks like? And what is she supposed to do to apologize to men for making them WANT to fuck her? Walk around in a bag? Is that the only thing she can do to get any respect for what she’s achieved in her life — coming from modest circumstances to get to become governor of a fucking STATE, raise her kids at the same time, and now be on a hugely successful book tour? I’m sorry, but if looking great were all it took to achieve that, EVERY GODDAMNED POLITICIAN IN THE WORLD would be a sexy woman. Funny how they’re still mostly a bunch of ugly old men though, ain’t it?

Goddamn it, I’d be king of the fucking world if all it took were looks. It’s not. It takes sweat and brains and tenacity and the refusal to give up and the ability to learn frmo your mistakes. Men and ugly women can damned well do that as well as anyone else. Madeleine Albright isn’t a looker, but goddamn that woman achieved.

Janis, if you started your own blog, do you have any idea how wildly successful it would be?

Jenn, I can’t talk about thsi stuff without losing my temper repeatedly anymore. And aside from that :-) , I think that I tend to write my best stuff in response to other good stuff. I rarely come up with anything on a tabula rasa that doesn’t spin off into left field quickly.

I’d also have to moderate comments, answer people back without telling them to eff off, etc. etc. etc. Too much work … The best blogs of that sort are almsot a full-time job for their owners.

Janis, if you ever wanted to get a conversation started on a topic that we hadn’t blogged on here at TNA we would be happy to give you the opportunity here in the TNA blog. We would welcome your perspective in starting the conversation.

I swing between wanting to vent and wanting to just wash my hands of the whole thing and figuring that if women are stupid enough to step back into their chastity belts because it’s pink and has little blinky lights and bunny rabbits on it this time, then let them.

Mmph. I don’t know. It’s just all so fucking depressing.

It’s true. Madeleine Albright didn’t need perky tits and a lap band to kick ass. She just rocked naturally. So do Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin, even though Clinton leaves the other two in the dust.

How about those two women who won the Nobel Prize for Medicine this year? I didn’t see any nips or tucks on either of them.

Barbara Jordan wasn’t a centerfold. Neither was Bella Abzug. They just took life by the horns.

This belief that you have to be a goddamned centerfold model in order to have a life is just an excuse. It’s also bullshit, because there is no way in hell that Palin would be getting subejcted to half the garbage she is still being subejcted to if she weren’t pretty. We live in a society drenched in torture porn. I don’t see any TV shows or horror movies that go out of their way to slash and disembowel and light on fire endless parades of anything but pretty young women. I always wondered WTF was men’s problem that they got off on this. I had no idea how many women get off on it until 2008 and listening to women savaging both Clinton and Palin. There’s no way in HELL that’s down to their policies. Mass media has brainwashed them very effectively that The Hot Chick Dies in the goriest way possible, and it’s the best part of the show.

    It’s all fucking DISGUSTING.

Janis makes an excellent point. There is no way in hell that women can use their looks to get ahead.

This is the same as saying the woman was sleeping around to get the promotion. By bringing up her beauty they point out -again- that she is a woman and reduce her merit to her body. Hillary didn’t have merit; her husband slept around. We all remember that statement. These sexist statements effectively reduce her achievements to her gender, which society hates.

Janis doesn’t need a blog. She needs a talk show! And it should come on right after the View.

Men (and women) hate beautiful women. And one of Janis’ comments actually struck me, as to whether or not she should slash her face, because I’ve thought about slashing my face, hypothetically. I’ve thought about how that might actually improve my quality of life. When you’re pretty, everyone (mistakenly) thinks youre on top, so they think they’ve got to cut you down, and when everyone thinks they’ve got to cut you down; everyone’s cutting you down.

Men think pretty women should not be successful. They think they should be wives or on their knees sucking their ding dong. It makes everyone you interact with insecure. You don’t get hired, when you’re pretty. If you’re not on your knees kissing their ass in some way or another they think all kinds of vile and insecure things about your motives. Everyone automatically assumes you think you’re better than them.

People think beauty is an open invitation to discuss your body, harass, or stalk you, or invade your privacy. But men and women are always discussing women’s bodies.

Men -hate- beautiful women, and men hate beauty they can not ultimately possess, and since they cannot, they destroy it completely.

oh and, do we really need to point out that he also said “get on top” not “get to the top” on purpose.
