Politico reports that Speaker Pelosi saying that the Stupak Amendment is being used to scuttle the healthcare bill.

Well, hello….

Wasn’t Pelosi the one who met with the Catholic Bishops and who allowed this atrocity to women to be part of the healthcare bill?  I mean c’mon – this one amendment has galvanized two very unlikely bedfellows — the anti-choicers and the pro-choicers — both now heading to the Senate to derail what left Pelosi’s House.

Here Pelosi explains her view on what went down.  You’ll get extra credit points if you can understand this jibberish or make any sense of it:

“We have concerns about it.”….hello Speaker Pelosi…YOU don’t have concerns about it apparently.

BTW, Speaker Pelosi gave this speech up in Massachusetts – ya know, on the trip where she endorsed a male candidate (Capuano) NOT AG Martha Coakley who leads in the polls and would be that state’s FIRST woman senator.

How ya doing ladies?

Interesting that the new guidelines for mammograms came out this week from an organization that to my understanding does not ob/gyns or oncologists. Perhaps if it gets picked up and replayed in the media enough….perhaps the Senate bill can do us out of those as well? I just hope that the women of this country stop smiling and making nice and start fighting for our rights because this situation is like dripping water and our rights are being eroded.

Saying that the Stupak amendment is being used to kill healthcare is like saying that it’s your fault if you bruise when I punch you.

If the Preznit doesn’t want the thing scuttled, then LET HIM FIGHT. Otherwise, it SHOULD be scuttled. It’s not a healthcare bill. It’s an anti-abortion insurance payout bill.

Very few people understand the rules of procedure she is talking about. It just sounds like a salesman’s pitch to me.

Get ready folks, this is the beginning of rationing health-care and guess who are the first ones to go without? Women!!!! No surprise that the insurance industry is trying to get out of paying for mammograms. First they took family planning out of the stimulus, then this horrendous stupak-Pitt’s Amendment, and now a “Federal Panel” has decided that mammograms aren’t necessary until a women is 50. What next? Soon we will all be wearing burqas!

This is the price for not being vigilant. Men clearly got the message in 2008 that they can publicly display unbridled misogyny with impunity. Our women’s groups failed us and failed to organize and push back during the elections in 2008. Now men think that they can walk all over us without resistance or repercussions.

I’m beginning to see that the Dem’s are bigger misogynists than I ever realized. I suppose that if I question this misogyny, I’m selfish and racist!!!!

I think women need to take this fight to the streets. We need a million women march. I wish these women’s groups would organize more protests! Their not shedding any attention on these issues sitting on their hands.

As far as Pelosi’s comments go, its just more gibberish! Her body language made it very clear that she knows that she threw women under the bus to get her emperor’s bill passed. She is sickening, pure and simple!!!!!!

Kendall – I think you are right. Pelosi did what ever it took to pass this bill. It was touted has her highest achievement in her career. (Blech!) This health care bill is falling apart rapidly, and her actions on the vote speak lowder than her words (and hand movements – yikes Nancy!)

Obama lacks political will to crack down on Wall street crooks. Be sure to read the comments.

Yes, but making women appear incapable of helping themselves is only half of it. It’s also talking about DECADES of Obama helping… o.O

I am appalled at that ad. Does Obama seriously think he can appeal to women by showing us we are not capable of helping ourselves??

Does anyone honestly believe Obama’s “Julia” story equals liberation for women? http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=51265
