I am really concerned about women in Afghanistan and the resurgence of the Taliban whose reason for being is degrading women. Obama isn't going to make any real decision on anything. The women we do have in office here need to say something about providing for women over there. Obamaites say we are in the middle of a civil war and can't win, OK lets give them that but at least the women and children don't have to lose. The USA needs to set up women and children refugee camps an provide iron clad protection for women and children then let the Afghan men have at it if that is what they want. Don't just leave and let their misogynists have the women to torture and act out against.

Pelosi is a woman who has found her niche in the Patriarchy and doesn't want a change. So she is out for herself not the needs of her female constituents.

Nancy Pe-lousy has a knack for cutting other women's throats. She's an uncle Tom, or Aunt Tammy, if you will. I don't hold women to a higher standard. I hate both Uncle Tom and Aunt Tammy equally!

Nancy Pelosi is a disgrace as were her predecessors. There's no double standard here. But I happen to think that as oppressed people, women who have privilege, have a responsibility to help other women. In the end the boys will turn on her too, and the women she has already fucked over won't have her back!. You know, my enemy's enemy is a friend, even when he's my enemy too!

Mustn't forget that Martha Coakley also kept her super delegate vote for Hillary even after they were released at the convention no doubt infuriating Nancy.
Pelosi just pulled up the gang plank- I think she should keep her bestie Mikey in the House if he's so great. Tell your MA friends to make sure to vote in the primary Dec. 8th. Please consider a donation, of any size, to help assure a win for Martha :http://www.actblue.com/page/mc2010
If you live in MA and would like to help out go to her website: http://www.marthacoakley.com
or the grassroots site: http://womenforcoakley.com

Together we might not move mountains but we can certainly change elections!

:-) True. She's an asshole, but she didn't dump her husband when he was in the hospital being treated for cancer. Wasn't that Gingrich's shining moment, or am I thinking of yet another pillar of society?

LOL, lots of historical firsts there, Pelosi.

Women have to learn how to stand with women, but it's difficult because we are trained from day one not to. I defend Pelosi, not because I think she's done a fabulous job, but because in the long list of Speakers, I can hardly call her worst ever. She's competing with the likes of Newt Gingrich and Dennis Hastert (perhaps even Tom DeLay.) I mean, if she manages to not have an extra marital affair, not cover up a sexual abuse scandal involving congressional pages, and avoid being indicted, she will have outdone them all.

We really do hold women to a much higher standard. There can't be equality until we're willing to view then on a level playing field. In the low standard set by her predecessors, Pelosi is not the worst ever. But yes, I frequently curse and tear my hair out over her.

Nancy, Nancy, Nancy. You used up your Mulligan with me back in 2008.

I would imagine that you have plenty of empty stalls in the women's room outside of the congressional chambers. Do you just like to hear the echo? I guess you don't like to have to wait in a line when there are too many women vying for the same stall. Shame. You had so much potential; but you seemed to flush that down the toilet with policies that support women's health.
