When The New Agenda was formed almost one year ago, the poster boy of sexism on MSNBC was Chris Matthews. We spoke out here, here, and here. Since then, Mr. Matthews seems to have learned a lesson, decided not to run for Senator of PA, and toned down his sexist rhetoric.

But not Donny Deutsch. He missed the memo. He is dialing up a disgusting version of sexist terms and rhetoric on the airwaves.

Yesterday, Donny held an open discussion on his obsession with Sarah Palin’s “hotness”.  His words:

The reason we have a fascination with Sarah Palin — men and women — this is the first woman in power that has sexual appeal, and people don’t know what to do with it.  That’s why people are fascinated with her. Everything else is secondary.

This after he called then Governor Palin’s children “fair game” to David Letterman’s joke.

Enough is enough.  Donny Deutsch should not be on the air.  It is time to take action!

And don’t forget this gem from the campaign, “Hillary Clinton didn’t figure it out; she didn’t put a skirt on. [and of Palin] I want her laying next to me in bed.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTwaTRM0ZsI

I will be sending them an e-mail today. Also, I would like to bring to your attention the Fox Poll asking people if Sarah Palin should be a “Homemaker” and other various occupations. Did they do a poll and ask if they thought Mitt Romney should be a “Used Car Saleman”
or OBAMA should be a Farmer?? What is with these people????

In order to leave Donny a comment, you have to send a picture of yourself. Ugh, who would want that a-hole to have a picture of themselves.

Didn’t DD have a show on another network that got cancelled? MSNBO’s really scraping the bottom of the barrel trying to hang on to the low-class element that still watches them.

Why bother watching any NBC channel or calling them. They have no concept of sexism. Donny is a marketer. Does his mind give you any insight into why typical ads are often so offensive and condescending to women? By the way how do you all like NBCs “women’s channel”, Oxygen? Could you possibly get a channel more out of touch with women? And yet there it is on our mandatory subscription list which we subsidize with ever Basic cable payment and it’s existence allows the dumb asses in media to say they serve female viewers. Yeah they serve us crap. The way to make this garbage go away is introducing the OPTION of cable TV a la carte. Or alternatively women’s groups should encourage women to cut the TV cable altogether and only download the content they want to watch, for free from the internet. NBC doesn’t care what you think or feel. They only care that they make money and as long as they can force you to subscribe to their channels with basic cable they will make money. This is not a free market.

    Re Donny Deutsch

it is disgusting that MSNBC has another non-educated male completely lacking sensibility for women’s causes on the air.
nobody cares what Donny Deutsch’s physical reaction to any woman is. it his entirely private feeling. we are sick and tired to hear comments on clothes or physical appearance of powerful women or any woman. And for sure we would like to hear a discussion on political ideas former governor Palin has. such as domestic gas notonly over foreign gas or oil, but also over domestic nuclear energy. what the projection of wind and solar energy to replace current sources? that would be some intelligent take.
at the current time, too many people don’t take TV as their form of information. You have degraded to an equivalent of the yellow press.

I think it’s also important to make a big focus on a woman, such as Maureen Dowd, who hurts other women. This is a serious problem and could help us potentially have an important dialogue in regard to why women hurt other women – with gusto. I just read her most recent article about Hillary and Sarah and I am disgusted.
