Congratulations to Judge Sotomayor

|The Senate Judiciary Committee today endorsed the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to be an associate justice of the Supreme court. The full Senate is expected to approve her nomination next week.
All twelve democrats on the committee voted for Sotomayor, as did Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of SC, who previously had said that Sotomayor’s temprament stuck out like a sore thumb. Six other Republicans voted against the nomination, including ranking Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama, who said in USA Today editorial:
I don’t believe that Judge Sotomayor has the deep-rooted convictions necessary to resist the siren call of jucicial activism.
The New Agenda has defended Sotomayor against sexist attacks throughout the nomination process (such as in the video on our home page). Congratulations, Judge Sotomayor.

Congratulations, Justice Sotomayor! Way to go!

although I don not agree with the confirmation based on my political ideology.
I want to say congratulations to Sotomayor for being the first Latina on the bench.
I really do hope that she succeeds in her duties to the law and the Constitution of our country.
