You can find The New Agenda’s group page at WomenCo here.

380x250_crop380wAbout three months ago I was searching around jobsites for, well, obviously for a job. I happened to stumble upon quite the site, WomenCo, a social networking site for career oriented women.

WomenCo is not just another job hunting site like Monster or Careerbuilder. As great as those things are I found a community of women, and yes some men, that have come together to network and discuss issues pertaining to all aspects of different careers. Everything from fashion to interviewing tips to support groups of Mother’s with special needs children.

And so my adventures on the web began, while my female friends and family talked about their Facebook and Myspace accounts, I have been interacting with a great community of career minded women. Learning something about them and well teaching them a little about me.

I am proud to announce that two weeks ago The New Agenda started its own group on the fantastic site. And in two weeks time we have grown to a modest 40 members and seem to keep growing. A non-partisan site for a non-partisan group. What a great mix.

You can find The New Agenda’s group page at WomenCo here.

And more information about WomenCo here.

Our Vision
To be the social network of choice for women professionals. To offer our users a steady stream of high-quality content relating to important issues affecting women in the workplace as well as information on career advancement. To offer our users an interactive social community where they can career network, discuss issues important to them, and share their personal experiences. To be a portal with the clear “voice” of the WomenCo. member: An intelligent, highly-motivated career woman with varied interests, skills, and passions.

Our History
WomenCo. launched in late November 2007 and re-launched with a new design, logo, tagline, and revamped vision on April 30, 2008. Our thousands of members have helped make this community great and grow every day.

Our Beliefs
• We believe women can have it all: Careers, family, fun, independence, a balanced lifestyle, and everything in between. WomenCo. focuses its efforts on harmonizing all those needs and personas.
• Women have come far. WomenCo. recognizes and celebrates that women have made tremendous strides in the workplace.
• The playing field is still not level. WomenCo. provides concrete, actionable ways to help women get where they want to get, from women who have. WomenCo. also provides a breeding ground for discussion on what still needs to be done and how to reach those goals.
• Men are absolutely welcome!
• WomenCo. deals with serious issues and real problems. We are focused on providing you interesting and useful content that you can relate to on both the professional and personal levels, and that will help you and your fellow community members advance in your careers and lifestyles.
