@ Bruce Nahin – You won’t have to hold your breath. There is a full-court press against Letterman among the feminist sites I visit. I’m a feminist who would not support Palin for president, but I am appalled by what she suffered during the election (just like Mrs. Clinton) and continues to suffer. Sexism knows no political affiliation. The irrational, deep hatred of women is pervasive and worldwide, and any feminist worth her (or his) salt won’t stand for it against ANY woman.

Lorilee is right but I say BOYCOTT ALL THE ADVERTISERS AND LET THEM KNOW WHY WE ARE BOYCOTTING.

And of course, make the boycott MASSIVE with BAD PUBLICITY FOR THOSE COMPANIES.

…course car companies have to be dealt with differently…

Folks – We unfortunately do not set what story the media covers – if we did we would be on tv every night. The media rarely speaks out about sexism. When they will, we get our fair share of coverage.

I find it hard to believe that you must ask such a question. What are the tenets of TNA?

It would seem to me that you should be leading a charge to attack /confront such diatribe in any and every way possible, especially in the most visible forums and media sites/venues possible.

You have credibility and access, use it! Where or when could TNA’s voice be more important than here and now?

In all seriousness, boycott, boycott, boycott the advertisers. Pick one and spread the word to stop doing business with that company. I think as TNA grows and considering women are such a huge group it can become very effective. Initially we would focus on ONE cause and one advertiser. Make an example of them, so to speak. If we are successful once, the mere suggestion could be effective going forward.

I wouldn’t say it because I don’t think his son deserves it but isn’t that something DL would do?

re letterman, i fear the only thing to get such a guy thinking is acts like the ones from the seventies: tomatoes or stinking eggs on the head, …

what about letters how ugly he has become with details, how many face lifts he would need if he cared to be attractive to women …

Just thought you might want to know…the blog “Hillbuzz” who supported Hillary is going to ask everyone to write, protest, whatever all Letterman sponsors. We have to hit them in the pocket book.

I believe the comment about Palin’s daughter was beyond the pale.
CBS needs to say something about this also.
