THE NEW AGENDA GOES HOLLYWOOD
We have some exciting news! The New Agenda has been approached by an award making filmmaker who loves what we do. She wants to make a PSA (public service announcement) with us about the crisis of violence against our teenage girls.

Now We Need Your Help!
We want to hear from you. We want our members to let their creative juices flow and send us your ideas for the content of the PSA. Please send us your suggestions to jointhenewagenda@yahoo.com.

10 DAYS AND COUNTING TO MAKE HERSTORY
The New Agenda will be hosting our first ever fundraiser, For the Herstory Books on Monday, June 1st. If you live in the New York area, please sign up and attend here. If you want to come, but can’t afford it, send us a note to our join box and we’ll arrange a discount admission.

We are still adding co-hosts for our Host Committee. Some TNA chapters are looking to bundle $500 to get their place in herstory. A group of 20 somethings are looking to do the same. Please send an email to our Grassroots inbox if you are looking to put together a group. All Host Committee members will be listed on commemorative handouts at the event and our on website.

CAN’T MAKE IT? PLEASE SUPPORT US!
For our thousands of members who do not live in the New York area, or those who do but cannot make the event, please donate to The New Agenda. We need your help!

You can write a check: make your check payable to The New Agenda Foundation and mail it to:
The New Agenda, P.O. Box 834, Larchmont, NY 10538.

Or you can use your credit card here.

TNA CELEBRATES THE FIRST AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN CEO
It takes a sisterhood.  It takes women at the top to pull up other women!  The New Agenda commends Xerox CEO Anne Mulcahy for promoting another woman to take her place on July 1.  Ursula Burns, 50, makes herstory as the first AA woman CEO.  Brava to Anne!  And to Ursula we say this:  YOU GO GIRL!!!

MAY IS INFRASTRUCTURE MONTH AT THE NEW AGENDA
And a reminder that May is infrastructure month at The New Agenda. We are working hard behind the scenes to build the infrastructure needed to grow TNA into a national organization with 100,000′s (or millions) of members. Stay posted – you’ll love what is happening behind the scenes.

We fight on!!!
Thanks for your support!

Well I hope this works out. I don’t trust anything that comes out of Hollywood. They are pretty much wedded to their view of sex and women and it doesn’t match mine. Wouldn’t a different place to make media be better than Hollywoodizing your announcement? If you visit Canada their media is not so sexist, maybe the announcement could be made by Canadians in Canada. I think Hollywood is smack in the middle of their post feminist revolution and happy as hell right where they are.

    Bes,

The filmmaker came to us as the mother of a young daughter who hopes the make the world better…as do we all. We have a lot of women willing to donate their professional time because of the importance of what we have taken on. The entire management of TNA are women that fit that bill.

    Onward!

Best of luck of course. I just feel you will need it seeing as how you will be smack in the middle of the place where corporate media sexism radiates out to infect the world. I don’t see anything coming out of Hollywood as being relevant to real women. Of course my attitude reflects my belief that trying to reform a group of people who are happy with their lot is a waste of time when a new group of women with a positive view of women could form and do the same project in a female relevant manner. But I do hope for the best, I just wouldn’t bet on it when Hollywood is involved.
