Can we talk here?  I mean can we really talk?

Ophelia is back from her short reprieve and she is ready to get back into action.

This week, Ophelia is thrilled to welcome a special guest – Peggy Klaus.  Ophelia first discovered Peggy on a quiet Sunday afternoon, while, in between eating bags of pork rinds, Ophelia picked up the New York Times Business Section and read a really neat article by Peggy titled A Sisterhood of Workplace Infighting in which Peggy describes the challenges of how women treat one another in Corporate America. Ophelia was so distressed to read Peggy’s article, that she had to put down her pork rinds and pick up some Alka Seltzer instead!

Peggy also has her own company in which, amongst other things, she specializes in the following:

A much in-demand communication and leadership coach, Peggy Klaus has spent more than a decade advising America’s top Fortune 500 executives. She reaches thousands of professionals a year through speaking, coaching, and workshops at leading corporations and organizations. Her client list includes JP Morgan Chase, Levi Strauss, Chevron Texaco, American Express, Disney, Goldman Sachs, Pharmacia Upjohn, General Mills, Cisco Systems, UNICEF, and Booz Allen Hamilton, among others. Klaus’s colorful and frank advice is frequently sought out by journalists. She has been featured and quoted extensively in a wide range of media including ABC 20/20, NBC Today, BusinessWeek, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Newsweek, Fortune, and O Magazine.

So grab your tea, coffee, water, wine or whisky and join us on Chewing the Fat with Ophelia on Monday, February 23rd at 10 p.m. EST as Ophelia welcomes Peggy Klaus to talk about, amongst other things, how women can better work together in Corporate America.

please be sure to ask her about her book, “Brag” and how women can more forcefully advance their own interests at work and in business by highlighting their achievements.
Too many women are “too nice” and hang back where they should step up and claim credit and assert expertise.
Klaus is an expert in this and I hope you get her comments out to as many people as possible.

I hope they also mention Nan Mooney’s work, author of the 2005 book, I Can’t Believe She Did That: Why Women Betray Other Women At Work.

A very good book on the differing views of majority and minority women in corporate America http://www.amazon.com/Our-Sepa.....1578512778

And Catalyst research on similar topics http://www.catalyst.org/page/52/research-knowledge

Eric Holder, Hilda L. Solis and, hopefully, a women Commerce Secretary could really play a historic role by teaming up to enforce civil rights, equal rights and commerce policy that advances women corporate professionals and women-owned businesses.
