I missed it Thia. At that time, I was slogging through ice and snow to get to a bus stop. How would you describe it? Did Amy get to say why she (we) disagree with Obama being on the cover?

When I clicked on the link all I got was the radio logo/ad across the top of an otherwise all black page. Help! I wanna listen!

Sis – Ugh. Good luck in the snow. If you can believe it I saw a headline that it’s colder in Alabama than in Alaska right now. Crazy stuff going on!

    Anna,

It was live at five so it’s too late. Maybe we can get audio for later.

    Sis,
Amy did great. She got all of our points in, talked domestic violence some, the MS cover, and all about The New Agenda. I thought it was a really fair and sympathetic interview. All of the callers after were sympathetic as well. We couldn’t have asked for a better interview! It was great!

It’s been really freaking cold in GA too. I’m going to get under my electric blanket!

I’d like to get the audio, but that station website is no help. I’ll see if I can run it down tomorrow.

    Amy,

Good Job! It was great that he invited you back. I think that your points about the feminist establishment were on point, but I think that we have to move past party affiliation and reach out to NOW and others. If you look at their website, they have

Sorry, I hit the submit comment button before I was finished. But anyway, if you look at their website, they have focused on other issues such as sexual harassment, equal pay, etc.., but they have sold all these other issues out for Roe v. Wade. Roe is the most important thing to them. I think Roe is very important, but I believe that these other issues are just as important and that reproductive freedom will always remain at risk, until women have gained equal treatment and respect. Our reproductive freedom will only be secure when we are respected as equal and full persons in every facet of life.

Thia – Thanks for posting the contact info to thank the host. I wanna wait till I hear the interview so I can write something first hand.

Obama lacks political will to crack down on Wall street crooks. Be sure to read the comments.

Yes, but making women appear incapable of helping themselves is only half of it. It’s also talking about DECADES of Obama helping… o.O

I am appalled at that ad. Does Obama seriously think he can appeal to women by showing us we are not capable of helping ourselves??

Does anyone honestly believe Obama’s “Julia” story equals liberation for women? http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=51265
