Matthews & Olbermann demoted
September 8, 2008

|Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann have been relegated to the news agency equivalent of the back bench for the duration of this election, after charges of media bias put their networks’ credibility in jeopardy. You can read the story in WaPo or the NYTimes.
The Obama campaign must be breathing a sigh of relief. After the outrage over the endless stream of sexist vitriol aimed at Hillary Clinton and the subsequent defection of as-yet-uncounted women from the Democratic Party, the Dems must have been cringing every time a left-wing media personality made a caustic remark that referenced Palin’s gender, because rightly or wrongly, sentiments like that are identified with the campaign.
I’m sure McCain’s camp would be happy to see the sexism keep festering right on through the next eight weeks, sending more disillusioned Democrats over to vote Republican for the first time in their lives.
Sexism isn’t over, yet. Matthews, not so easily subdued, on his own show yesterday referred to Sarah Palin as “a conservative version” of “Norma Rae.”

I’m not so sure.
Seems Obama benefitted greatly from Matthews’ sexism during the primaries. Matthews’ words and attitudes have certainily been echoed over and over again by the left.
And I don’t ever recall Obama or those close to his campaign saying anything against it.
I don’t think it will make that much of a difference. Hardballs is still going to be on, Olbermann is still going to be on, and they are going to add another left wing show right after Olbermann: Rachel Maddow. Not one of them is capable of sticking to any unbiased statement when it comes to Obama; so I rather doubt anything will really change much. Olbermann just signed a new contract to chant his trash…msnbc likes it as it raises ratings. Maddow is no different. I personally think Matthews is rather embarrassed, as well he should be, and may tone it down abit; but he is so blatantly sexist, that I think it will be beyond him to curtail his prejudice. Besides, I think he would miss that tingle.
Yep, had me a hearty laugh this morning when I read about the Olbermann & Matthews demotions.
It doesn’t change my opinion of NBC/MSNBC or the rest of the scumbag MSM though. I will never forget how they they distorted and undermined the democratic process in this election cycle.
Too little, too late. And, Rachel Maddow is cut from exactly the same cloth! MSNBC/NBC, CNN have lost all credibility.

You know? CNN has discovered secret never before seen video of Sarah Palin PRAYING FOR OUR TROOPS!!!
… Oh! The Humanity!
Whenever you see the “flying monkey ‘left” all in a tither over at Democratic Underground, you know something has them running scared – and this news sent them almost over the edge. Both commentators are totally inappropriate by any journalistic standard unless they’d overtly identified themselves as opinion/editorial journalists.
By any objective measure, these two shrillshills should have been fired long ago. However, I’ll take it even though they will continue on their merry path of misogony and racism.
I’m utterly disgusted with all cable news networks. Their so-called news is one of the root causes of what’s wrong in this country.
Democrat for McCain/Palin 2008
It was enlightening to hear that Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews who are just totally sexist have been demoted. There was no credibility as MSNBC being an unbiased media host. as rather it seemed to be an extension of the Obama campaign. There were constantl horrendous remarks made about Hilary Clinton. MSNBC allowed this to go on degrading women at no expense and Hilary Clinton’s loss was a win for MSNBC to be sexist. New remarks about Sarah Palin are appalling and another show of the steps that must be taken for women to break through the glass ceiling. MSNBC should be boycotted when they cannot realize that women are legitimate and viable candidates for the two highest offices in our country.
